EXPLORATION DRILLING AND SAMPLING TO 100 METRES:
We do Down Hole Hammer RAB drilling and dust collection providing economical and reliable sampling particularly suitable to scout drilling and proving Resources.
Our 5 Tonne air track mounted rig can access and drill undeveloped and difficult sites with minimal site disturbance.
Drilling a 100mm hole using 76mm external flush rods provides high return air velocity, good sample return and minimal dilution in competent rock to about 100 metres.
Returns are bagged in 1 metre intervals which can be visually inspected during drilling and split for laboratory analysis. BLEG assay of a selected interval for gold provides a reliable estimate of bulk grades eliminating the nugget factor inherent in fire assays.
The reliability of RAB returns in very wet holes and holes deeper than about 100 metres are compromised. In these circumstances, Reverse Circulation drilling may be a more reliable but more expensive alternative.
